Part two of our meals in Los Angeles is right here, right now. From classic Italian to fusion American and dozens of delicious oysters in between… Karrie and I got a great glimpse of the food scene in Los Angeles and we’re excited to return for more! Join me now as we revisit some delicious, delectable, and yes, calorific meals. 🙂
#JKTravel2015: Los Angeles – Where We Ate: Brunch Edition
Food, glorious food.
It goes without saying that food is a huge, huge part of my travel experience, and so it should come as no surprise to you that I’m devoting
an entire post several posts to it. With a few exceptions (namely the two restaurants participating in my west vs east burger challenge), I’ll be posting about all the other meals I had in the next two posts, from breakfast to supper and everything in between. I’ll admit, most places did not lend themselves to result in good photography, especially for dinner with how dimly lit the restaurants were, but Karrie and I tried our best!
Do enjoy – I can tell you with certainty that we did! 🙂
#JKTravel2015: Los Angeles – Where We Stayed
Though I’d just been to Los Angeles a year prior with Lizz, returning over Easter last month with Karrie was fresh and new for me – we saw sights I’d not seen, ate amazing food, and overall just had an absolute blast of a time. I’m glad to report back that I’m finally here to talk about it and resuscitate this site, so thanks for tuning in!
Los Angeles was beautifully sunny when I landed, a sharp contrast to the chill of Vancouver’s early spring. After an hour or so wait, Karrie joined me, and by midday we found ourselves walking west along Hollywood Boulevard, hauling luggage, avoiding tourist trap offers of creepy, paparazzi-esque driving tours through where celebrities reside, and finally arriving at our home for the next four nights: The Hollywood Roosevelt.
Let’s take a tour, hmm?
